Wrought Iron Large TORCHIERE Early Mid 19th Century
Large Wrought Iron TORCHIERE Floor Lamp 3 Legged hand made with Scrol & Rivet construction. Not welded anywhere, old school blacksmith artisan made is this. Stands an impressive 6 feet tall and very sturdy. Nothing loose or broken, just a light surface rust that could easily be sand blasted / wire brushed away and painted black.
Requires a Tiffany style lamp shade and light bulb holder to top mount to create a stunning looking floor lamp. NB, Update, I have now fitted this with a 3-arm Brass Chandelier and some electric vacuum discharge Flicker light bulbs, quite in fitting with the theme I believe. I have started to prep - remove the surface rust and in next few weeks it will be sprayed in Satin Black to give it a quality appearence rather than the junk shop look at the moment.
