This stunning 18th century Chien Lung, Famille Rose Chinese Export gravy boat is in perfect condition, without any chips, repairs or cracks. It has been designed with the traditional Chinese Export shape, which creates an elegant profile. It is in beautiful Famille Rose colours with the lovely rose and pink peonies. But what is unusual is the depiction of mating peacocks, a symbol of marital bliss and harmony.

The male peacock jumps off the ground to display its feathers, while the female looks up and watches. At the bottom of the gravy boat, sits an exquisite peony. The rose colouring continues on the handle. It is a true collector's piece of 18th century Chinese Export ware.
