Here we have a Brilliant 16th Century Style Antique Carved Limewood Maquette Large Figure, In good condition considering purported age, some features missing, nose, parts of crown and sword have all been lost to time, otherwise looks to be in overall presentable condition, wooden base appears to have been repaired at some point. This striking and very interesting figure appears to be related to the huge bronze statue of Rudolf von Hapsburg that guards the empty tomb of Emperor Maximillian in Austria, ts possible the figure is related to the drawings of Jorg Kolderer, as the figure shares features with the drawing.
It is also possible that this statue that could be a maquette for the original which would explain why the statue has unfinished elements, regardless its a fantastic detailed carved limewood figure that measures 62cm in height.
