Late 18th Century Georgian Decanter Tantalus, Circa 1780. A fine antique late 18th century Georgian decanter tantalus dating to circa 1780. The set comprises of six cut glass decanters housed within a mahogany dome topped case.

The dome hinged top opens via the original lock and key to reveal six decanters and a further section housing two hand painted glasses, decorated throughout in original velvet. The decanters boast excellent quality throughout and feature star cut designs to their bases, each decanter retains its swirl designed stoppers. The box is in exquisite original condition, retaining all of its decanters, glasses and key. 26 cm high x 30 cm wide x 20 cm deep. 22 cm high x 8 cm wide x 8 cm deep.

5 cm wide x 9.5 cm high. Condition: Overall, the tantalus is in good condition for its age and usage; the decanters are in excellent condition and each retain their original stoppers.
