The cylinder shoe body is copper clad and is highly decorated all around with a Repuosse picture panel, depicting various satyrs and classic figures from Roman or Greek mythology The hinged lid is solid brass, chase decorated and with a cherub or putti with a lion or dog creature finial A very unusual impressive item Condition is very good with age related marks to the inner tin sleeve where biscuits have been kept. No other wear is seen.
